I offer the following services;

· Legal marriage ceremonies;
· Renewal of marriage vows ceremonies: and
Commitment celebrations (for couples who have been or are about to be legally married overseas)

I would like to meet you both so that I can get to know you a little and to hear about your ceremony plans. This time will also allow you to decide if I will be THE Celebrant to conduct your ceremony. There is no fee for this initial time together. Call me so that we can arrange to meet (see my Contact Judy page).

As a full time celebrant I am not limited to week ends or evenings to meet with you or conduct your marriage – I have great availability for you to chose YOUR time! Check my AVAILABILITY calendar page..

My fees include

Formal Inclusions

  • My commitment to ensure your ceremony is personal, professionally prepared and presented
  • My experience of many years as a Celebrant and hundred’s of ceremonies
  • A copy of the Notification of Intention to Marry form (NOIM)
  • Our second meeting when you engage me as your Celebrant. This is when you lodge your Notice of Intention to Marry form (NOIM) with me, pay the booking fee and we begin planning together
  • All legal paperwork provided to you, handled and lodged promptly with the Registrar of Marriages.
  • Exclusivity – It’s your day and I make YOU my priority. No other bookings that will compete with my time for your ceremony!
  • Celebration marriage certificate presented to you on your wedding day (compulsory to provide to every couple)
  • A folder of examples of Orders of Ceremony, ring vows, poems and readings etc for loan to you while planning your ceremony
  • An Order of Ceremony written to personally suit you and your requirements
  • Provide a letter of proof of lodgement of NOIM (when required for visa applications)
  • Portable PA system – mics and speaker
  • A rehearsal time within the week before the ceremony date – practice with YOUR chosen music
  • Registry signing table, chair and signing pen
  • Presentation copy of your ceremony
  • Marriage Ceremony planning portfolio containing;

¨ A copy of  the legal wording that is required to be in your ceremony
¨ Pre-marriage education information (compulsory information must be provided by every Celebrant)
¨ “Happy Ever … Before and After” pamphlet – important information for people planning to marry (compulsory information)
¨ Information and application form to obtain an official Registry marriage certificate.
¨ A copy of Civil Celebrants Code of Practice and related information (compulsory information)

Informal Inclusions

  • Information on wedding ceremony venue suggestions (if required)
  • Comfortable and quiet meeting place
  • Umbrellas for wedding party and/or guest’s use (if required)
  • Reasonable access to me via phone, email, facebook msg or pre-arranged meeting time throughout the planning, wedding day and post wedding (if necessary).
  • My personal local travel costs, parking and venue admission fees and overnight accommodation (where applicable).
  • Research for any special requirements for your ceremony.
  • Provide a backup Celebrant in an emergency.
  • I am able to arrange a presentation copy of your Order of Ceremony translated into another language. You may like a copy for your non-english speaking family (at cost).

NOTE: Planning your ceremony OUTSIDE the ACT and surrounding regions? No problem, let’s discuss your plans and negotiate my fees accordingly.

Fee Schedule

1. Marriage Ceremony

One total fee of $700, paid as follows:

$200 Initial booking fee due at time of booking Celebrant’s services and lodgement of NOIM form and for work undertaken; and then
$500 Final payment due up to 14 days prior to the wedding date.

        OR

$500 (full fee)  – small, intimate with minimal guests and a ceremony that is just what the law requires – simpleness – paid as follows;

$200 Initial booking fee due at time of booking Celebrant’s services and lodgement of NOIM and  for work undertaken, and then
$300 Final payment due up to 14 days prior to the wedding date.

OR

$300 (full fee) – “legals only” – fulfil legal requirements – no ceremony as such – then you, me and 2 witnesses sign legal marriage documentation – your place or mine. Quick but happy! Paid as follows;

$200 Initial booking fee due at time of booking Celebrant’s services and lodgement of the NOIM and for work undertaken, and then

$100 Final payment due up to 14 days prior to the wedding date.

OR

$800 (full fee) for a ceremony on the south coast or in the mountain areas, paid as follows;

$300 Initial booking fee due at time of booking Celebrant’s services and lodgement of NOIM form and for work undertaken; and then
$500 Final payment due up to 14 days prior to the wedding date.

2. Renewal of Marriage Vows or Commitment Celebrations

$400 (full fee) paid as follows;

$200 Initial booking fee due at time of booking Celebrant’s services and for work undertaken.
$200 Final payment due up to 14 days prior to the ceremony date.

Fees payable by cash or bank transfer method

Fee Refund Policy

1. A fee paid to retain the Celebrant’s services for any type of ceremony and at the time of lodgement of the NOIM form and for work already undertaken, is not refundable.

2. When a full fee has been paid and the marriage is NOT solemnised, or the celebration is cancelled, where notice of cancellation of the ceremony is given up to 14 days prior to the ceremony date OR where the Celebrant gives notice that she cannot perform the ceremony, the Celebrant shall refund that fee, except where the fee has been paid to the emergency backup Celebrant on behalf of the marrying couple.

3. In other cases the Celebrant may refund a fee.
