My husband and I were married by a Marriage Celebrant years ago. My parents, many family members and friends have also been married in civil ceremonies over the years. So I have a very strong association with civil marriage ceremonies and a strong belief in marriage as a lifelong partnership. I also believe we should celebrate everything we can in our lives – we’re not here for long!
I thought about the role for several years before training as a Marriage Celebrant. I’m now available and experienced to assist couples prepare for their most enjoyable and memorable wedding ceremony!
I worked in a professional managerial role for many years. From that role I bring expertise and skills to my role as a Celebrant, including the enjoyment of meeting new people; being organised; the ability to prepare and conduct written presentations in a variety of settings; personal presentation appropriate to the occasion as well as good time management. I see these as just some of the essential elements enabling me to prepare and conduct your personal, meaningful and memorable marriage ceremony. My full time role as a Marriage Celebrant allows me to stay connected and involved in a happy and vibrant community!
I have a sense of fun, enjoy life and celebrations and being creative. I have travelled widely. I’m a volunteer Celebrant with the My Wedding Wish, a charity providing free wedding ceremonies to couples, where one partner has a diagnosed life threatening illness.
As an active member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants – the largest Celebrant Association in Australia – I am covered for Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, Copyright Insurance and have access to Celebrant forums connecting with Celebrants throughout Australia, sharing our experiences, knowledge and resources.
I look forward to meeting you and your families and trust that I will be just the right Marriage Celebrant for you, helping create your “day of a lifetime”!
